India-BD RMG Plant to Invest US$ 6.66 Million in Ishwardi EPZ

India- Bangladesh company M/s. Progress Apparels (Bangladesh) Limited is going to set up a readymade garments industry in Iswhardi Export Processing Zone.
This joint venture company will invest US$ 6.66 million for setting up the plant with annual production capacity of 9.76 million pcs of shirt & pants. Progress Apparels Limited will create employment opportunity for 2264 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s. Progress Apparels (Bangladesh) Limited at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on 22-09-2015. Mr. Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Mr. Muhammad Shahed Mahmud, Managing Director of Progress Apparels (Bangladesh) Limited inked the deal on behalf of their respective organizations.
Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Mr. Md. Mosaddeque Ali, Member (Engineering), Mr. Md. Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, Mrs. Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Mr. Ahsan Kabir, General Manager (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
