Recognizing the large proportion of female workers in EPZs, BEPZA supports the establishment of daycare centers inside enterprises. Around 200 companies in EPZs operate daycare centers which provide safe and nurturing care for children, enabling working parents and especially mothers to focus on their jobs.

Each EPZ including BEPZA EZ have hospitals or medical centers staffed by professional doctors, nurses, and medical assistants to provide primary treatment, emergency care, and health check-ups. Additionally, factories operate their own medical facilities, ensuring quick response to workers health concerns.

BEPZA embeds ESG in every zone—pairing social facilities with green operations. Solar initiatives expand clean energy; Central Effluent Treatment Plants run in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Cumilla EPZs; Water Treatment Plants operate in Chattogram, Adamjee, Karnaphuli, Mongla, Ishwardi and Cumilla; and environmental labs serve Chattogram and Dhaka. Together, these reduce emissions, protect water, and elevate worker well-being. With a blend of economic, social, and environmental priorities, BEPZA sets new standards for sustainable industrialization.
